TeckJB.com: Is It Legit? Real Blog, No App, 2 Lookalikes

TeckJB.com is a real tech blog run from Chennai, with 425 posts about Android apps and AI photo prompts, the kind that Instagram reels point to. It is not an app: there is no TeckJB app on Google Play, and the "TeckJB Com App APK" on download sites is not from TeckJB. Two other domains, teckjb.pro and teckjb.org, borrow the name and rank for it.

What is TeckJB.com?

A WordPress blog with five sections: Trending, Tech, Latest, Apps and AI. Its About page says it "is owned and operated by TeckJB Team, based in Chennai/India" and run by "the TeckJB Web Desk, a small editorial team". The contact page gives an address at teckjb.com, and the domain was registered on 21 September 2021, according to the public domain record. Every post carries the byline "Tech Desk"; no writer is named.

The posts are what the name promises. We downloaded the site's post sitemap and sorted its 425 URLs by the words in them: 266 (63%) are about apps and Android, 139 (33%) about AI prompts and images, mostly portrait styles, and 34 (8%) about Indian government schemes and jobs. None is about betting; the one URL that matched our betting word list is a temple darshan-booking guide that mentions "slots". Recent examples: a live train tracker app, a launcher that makes Android look like an iPhone, "80's Vintage Style" AI portraits, and a guide to the Sukanya Samriddhi savings scheme. Posts run 650 to 1,100 words.

Why do so many people search for "teckjb com"?

Because of reels. Tamil and Telugu tech creators on Instagram show an app or an AI trick and say the link is on "teckjb com". Google's own results show the chain: the Instagram topic page "Teckjb App" ranks sixth for the search, and a reel titled "Create a real-time image using this ai tool" ranks seventh. One commenter under that reel wrote "Your teck jb com site not working". Searchers type the name the creator said, with a space.

That is why "teckjb com" is searched 70,000 times a month in India in Ahrefs' data on 13 October 2026, against 32,000 for "teckjb" and 500 for "teckjb.com". India accounts for 99% of it.

Unlike the brand searches we examined for Techsslaash.com and Lapzoo.com, these look like real people. Google Trends for India puts "teckjb" at an average of 18.5 over the past year against 24.2 for "instagram post size", a query Ahrefs rates at 71,000 searches a month, about the same as "teckjb com". The two tools agree, which they did not for the other two sites.

The Trends line spikes when a reel goes viral, to 100 in the week of 28 December 2025 and 70 in the week of 26 April 2026, and sinks to single figures in July and August.

Is there a TeckJB app?

No. TeckJB.com links to no app of its own; its homepage has no outbound links at all, and its posts link to other people's apps on Google Play. A search of the Play Store for "teckjb" on 13 October 2026 returned no app by that name. Instagram's topic page for the search says it plainly: "TeckJB is a technology content website, not an official Android app."

What ranks eighth is a page on playapks.com offering "TeckJB Com App v1.0.2 APK (Android New Version)", with a publisher called "TeckJB Dev", a size of 1 MB, a "Get it On Google Play" badge and a green Download button. The app does not exist on Google Play, and TeckJB does not mention it.

A 1 MB file that "brings together expert content and unique tools" is a description, not a program. Google's Play Protect page explains why apps from outside the store are the ones it has to scan: that is where harmful apps come from. Do not install it.

If a reel sent you here for a tool, the tool is almost always a normal app on Google Play. Open the matching post on teckjb.com and use its "Download App from Playstore" link, which goes to the store, not to a file.

teckjb.pro was registered on 3 March 2025, three and a half years after teckjb.com, per its registration record. It is a listicle site ("Top 8 Productivity Hacks For Entrepreneurs", "Top 10 Investment Ideas") with Business, Tech, Finance and Education sections and Telegram and WhatsApp buttons. It has become a search term in its own right: Ahrefs lists "teckjb.pro" at 13,000 searches a month and names it the parent topic of "teckjb com".

teckjb.org was registered on 17 September 2026, 26 days before we checked, per its registration record. Its page title is "TeckJB — AI tools, explained clearly (teckjb.pro, techjb, teckjob com, teckje com)", and the same string of misspellings sits under its headline, which is what a page looks like when it is written for the search box rather than a reader. In those 26 days it has acquired, by Ahrefs' count, 535 linking domains and a Domain Rating of 30, and it ranks second for "teckjb com", above everything but the real site.

The real site is the one on .com, registered in 2021. If a reel says "teckjb com", that is the whole address.

Is TeckJB.com safe?

As far as a website can be checked from outside, yes. We loaded the homepage, the author page and a dozen posts in a clean browser. The homepage links to no other site. The posts we read link only to Google Play, with the link marked nofollow, and carry one advertising slot each. There is no footer of betting links, no download button for files, and no "write for us" page selling placements, the three things that gave away Lapzoo.com. The risks are the ones around it: the fake APK and the lookalike domains above.

Is TeckJB.com legit?

Yes, with limits. It is a small, real blog that writes up the apps and AI prompts that circulate on Indian Instagram, and it has done so since 2024. It is not a technology company, not an app, and not a source of expert reviews: nobody is named, the posts are short, and the one review that ranks fairly calls the content "Helpful but Basic". Treat it as a pointer to apps, then check the app's own Play Store listing, its reviews and its permissions before installing anything.

Three brand searches, three different answers

We have now run the same checks on three sites whose names Indians search by the hundred thousand. The method was the same each time: the sitemap, the posts, the links, the marketplaces and Google Trends. The results were not.

The lesson is the same one we drew from the other two, applied the other way round: a sitemap, a footer and a Trends chart can clear a site as easily as they can condemn one. That is why they are worth ten minutes before you trust, write for, or pay any site with a big search number.

How we checked

Everything was done on 13 October 2026. The site's homepage, About, Contact and author pages and three posts were loaded in a clean headless Chromium browser, and their links, link attributes and advertising slots were listed. The post sitemap was downloaded with curl and its 425 URLs classified by words in the slug, so counts can be off by a few. Keyword figures are from the Ahrefs API, India database, on the same day. Google Trends figures are from the twelve-month comparison for India, read the same day; the weekly values are saved with the draft. Domain dates are from whois.com and the RDAP records. The Play Store search was made with the store set to India. Screenshots are unedited crops of the live pages. We did not contact TeckJB or install anything.
