Earn from every real read of your writing.

1. Joining. You need a Writeouts account in your own name, at least one published article, and to be 18 or over. One membership per person. Editors and desk accounts can't join. Companies can't be Partners; people who work for one can, as themselves.
2. Where. The Partner Program is open to writers in India and everywhere else. We go by the country you connect from when you join, and it stays your region: in India you pay in rupees and are paid by UPI; elsewhere you pay in US dollars, by card or PayPal, and are paid by PayPal, in US dollars at the exchange rate on the day we send it.
3. Membership. In India, ₹99 a month or ₹999 a year, paid through Razorpay and renewed until you cancel; cancelling stops the next payment, and you stay a Partner until the end of the period you paid for. Elsewhere, a pass of $4 for a month or $40 for a year, paid once through Razorpay; it ends on its date, never renews by itself, and another pass is added to its end. A period that has started is not refunded.
4. Qualified reads. A read counts when a reader spends 30 seconds on one of your published articles, with the page in view, and scrolls through half of it. Each reader counts once per article per day. Reads by you, by editors and by crawlers don't count, and only reads on days your membership is paid for earn.
5. The pool. Each month, half of Partner membership revenue after payment fees goes into a pool, with anything carried over. Reads are paid from it at up to ₹0.30 each; if the pool can't cover that, it is shared in proportion to reads, and anything left carries over.
6. Awards. Through April 2027, the editors award ₹1,500, ₹1,000 and ₹500 each month to the three best Partner articles published that month. Their decision is final.
7. Statements and payouts. Each month's statement closes on the 1st of the next month and is not recalculated after that. When your unpaid balance reaches ₹500 we pay it by the 15th to the UPI ID or PayPal account on your dashboard. If you leave or close your account, we pay what you've earned at the next payout, whatever the amount.
8. Tax. In India, if your payouts in a financial year pass the threshold for tax deducted at source, we deduct TDS as Indian law requires; we'll ask for your PAN before that, and send you the certificate. Outside India, Indian law may require us to withhold tax from payouts and to ask you for a tax residency certificate; we'll tell you before your first payout, and send you the certificate for anything withheld.
9. Fair play. Reads that were bought, scripted or generated by you or for you earn nothing, and can cost you your membership and any unpaid balance that came from them. We may hold a month's earnings while we look into unusual traffic. A membership payment that is charged back ends the membership at once and holds any unpaid balance.
10. What we don't do. No guaranteed earnings, no payment for bringing in other members, and no sale of links, rankings or placement.
11. Changes. We'll give 30 days' notice here and by email before changing prices, rates or these terms.
